As leaked earlier, Lava has launched its first Android One smartphone called, Lava Pixel V1. The smartphone is launched in India for Rs. 11,350($177). It will be available in India on Flipkart from today.
As with the first gen Android One smartphones, Lava Pixel V1 will not be online only smartphone. It will available on online retailer Flipkart and select offline stores.
Lava Pixel V1 basically comes with a 8 Megapixel BSI sensor on its back side but it is enhanced to 13 Megapixel via software optimization. On the front side also, it comes with a 5 Megapixel sensor which is also enhanced to 8 Megapixel.
Lava Pixel V1 sports a 5.5 inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS Display protected with Asahi Dragon Trail Glass. It is powered by a 64 bit 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 Processor with 2GB of RAM. For graphics it has a Mali 400 MP2 GPU.
It comes with a 13 Megapixel BSI sensor rear camera with LED flash. For selfies, it comes with a 8 Megapixel BSI sensor front camera. It comes with 32GB in-built storage which can be expanded upto 32GB using MicroSD card.
Its connectivity options include 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi Direct, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and Micro-USB. It packs a 2,650 mAh Battery.
Lava Pixel V1 runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It is a dual sim device with dual standby support.
