Lava launched its first Android One smartphone, Lava Pixel V1, in India in July. The device has now received first major software update. The device gets latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in India.
Google released the Android 6.0 Marshmallow in October and later it was seeded to Nexus series of smartphones. Now the Indian company has seeded the Android 6.0 update to Lava Pixel V1.
The update is of 620.9MB and it carries Android Security patches upto 1st November 2015. The Android 6.0 upgrade bring major improvement and other new features.
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update carries build number LAVA_PixelV1_S028_20151118. The update will be rolled out in phases and might take some time to reach all devices. The update can be installed via Over-The-Air (OTA) update.
Lava Pixel V1 sports a 5.5 inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS Display protected with Asahi Dragon Trail Glass. It is powered by a 64 bit 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 Processor with 2GB of RAM. For graphics it has a Mali 400 MP2 GPU.
It comes with a 13 Megapixel BSI sensor rear camera with LED flash. For selfies, it comes with a 8 Megapixel BSI sensor front camera. It comes with 32GB in-built storage which can be expanded upto 32GB using MicroSD card.
