After Google unveiled its Android One program in India, Micromax, one of the first OEM partner has also launched its first Android One smartphone in India, Micromax Canvas A1. It is launched in India for Rs. 6,499.
Micromax Canvas A1 Android One smartphone will be sold exclusively on Amazon. Amazon has announced some offers for first buyers:

Micromax Canvas A1 features a 4.5 inch FWVGA IPS Display with 854×480 pixel resolution. It runs on 1.3 GHz quad core Processor with 1GB RAM. It has 4 GB internal memory which can be expanded upto 32GB using MicroSD Card.
Micromax Canvas A1 comes with 5 megapixel rear camera with LED Flash. It also has 2 megapixel front camera.
Micromax Canvas A1 has connectivity options like 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, Bluetooth v4, WLAN, USB OTG and Micro-USB. It has 1,700 mAh battery which gives 10 hrs of talktime and 160 hrs of standby time. It is a dual sim device with dual standby support.
Micromax Canvas A1 runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat out of the Box. It will receive one major Android update.
