Moto G 3rd Gen Android MarshmallowMotorola has released Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Moto G (3rd Gen) in India. The company rolled out the update to unlocked G3 in US last week and now the update is being rolling out to Indian users.

Motorola confirmed on twitter that Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is rolling out to Moto G Third Generation devices in India. The update is released via Over-The-Air(OTA) update.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update comes with version number v24.11.25. The size of the update is around 460MB. The updates will be rolled out gradually and will take time to reach all devices. Make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi before downloading the update.

The Android 6.0 update brings several new features to Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen). The new features includes doze mode, App permissions, App links, Do not Disturb and others.

If you have received a notification message for the update then:

  1. Select “Yes, I’m in”.
  2. After the software is downloaded, select “Install now”.
  3. After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically.
  4. Your phone is now updated to Android 6.0.

If you have not received a notification message for this update, follow the steps below to manually update your phone:

  1. Select the Settings icon in the apps menu.
  2. Select “About phone”.
  3. Select “System updates”.
  4. Select “Yes, I’m in”. After the software is downloaded, select “Install now”.
  5. After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically.
  6. Your phone is now updated to Android 6.0.

So if you haven’t updated your Moto G 3rd Gen to Android 6.0 Marshmallow then update your device now.
