Obi Mobiles which was formed Earlier this year has now announced its first product in India. Obi has launched Obi Octopus S520 in India for Rs. 11,990. It comes with HD screen and quad core processor.
Obi Octopus S520 features a 5 inch HD IPS Display with 1280×720 pixel resolution. It runs on 1.7 GHz octa core MediaTek MTK6592 Processor with 1GB RAM. It has 8 GB internal memory which can be expanded upto 32GB using MicroSD Card.
Obi Octopus S520 comes with 8 megapixel rear camera with LED Flash. It also has 2 megapixel front camera. It is a dual sim device with dual standby support.
Obi Octopus S520 has connectivity options like 3G, HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, Bluetooth and Micro-USB. It has 1,800 mAh battery which gives 180 hours of standby time.
Obi Octopus S520 runs on latest Android 4.4.2 Kitkat out of the box.

Obi Octopus S520 comes white color. It has MRP Rs. 11,990. It will be sold on Snapdeal. It is available on Snapdeal for Rs. 11,990. The phone comes with free flip cover and screen protector.
Obi Octopus S520 is the cheapest Octa core phone in India. The phone has specs similar to HTC desire 616 which was announced last week. But Octopus S520 runs on Android Kitkat while desire 616 runs on older version of Android. Also the price of HTC desire 616 is Rs. 16,900 which Rs. 4,000 more than Octopus S520. The phone looks good on paper but everything depends upon its performance.
