Samsung has relaunched its last year’s Galaxy Note7 as Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition in Korea. After the battery explosion fiasco, the company has finally relaunched the smartphone with lower price tag and less battery capacity.
The new smartphone comes with Galaxy Fan Edition branding on its back side. To avoid the explosion, the company has reduced the battery capacity to 3200mAh on Note FE. Samsung ensures that battery is passed through 8 safety checks.
Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition will be available in Korea from 7th July. Its price in Korea is 699,000 won ($611). It might be launched in other parts of the world as well. Apart from battery, other specifications seems to be same.
Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition flaunts a 5.7 inch Quad HD (1440×2560 pixels) Super AMOLED Display at 577ppi. Its screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by a 64-bit Exynos 8890 Octa-core (2.3GHz Quad-core + 1.6 GHz Quad-core) Processor with 4GB RAM. For graphics it has Mali-T880MP8 GPU
Galaxy Note Fan Edition comes with a 12 Megapixel f1.7 rear camera with LED flash. For selfies, It comes with 5 Megapixel f1.7 front camera. It comes with 32GB internal storage, which can be expanded upto 200GB.
Its connectivity options include 4G LTE, GPRS/EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, NFC, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB. It packs a 3,200 mAh battery which comes with fast charging support and wireless charging support. It comes with fingerprint sensor under its home button.
Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a layer of TouchWiz UI. It is a dual sim device with dual standby support.It has water-resistant coating with IP68 certification.
