Samsung is all set to launch Galaxy Note Edge SM-N915 in India next month. Samsung will reportedly launch its curved screen smartphone, Samsung Galaxy Note Edge in India for Rs. 64,900($1025) in January 2015 reports Economic Times.
Samsung had announced Galaxy Note Edge and Galaxy Note 4 in September. Samsung had already launched Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in India for Rs. 58,300. Now Samsung is planning to launch its curved screen Note Edge in India.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge features a unique two sided screen. The curved screen on the right side is used to show notifications. By default it shows time and date. It can be also used to launch apps from folders and apps icons.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge sports a 5.6 Quad HD+(2560×1600 pixels) Super AMOLED display at 515 ppi, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 2.7 GHz quad core Snapdragon 805 processor with 3 GB of RAM. For graphics it has Adreno 420 GPU.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge SM-N915 comes in 16/32GB internal storage options which can be expanded upto 128 GB using MicroSD card.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge features a 16 Megapixel Auto Focus rear camera with optical image stabilization. It also comes with a 3.7 megapixel front camera.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge connectivity options includes Advanced LTE and Wi-Fi MIMO (802.11ac), USB, Bluetooth, 3G, NFC , Infrared, Micro-USB, A-GPS, GLONASS, and IR Remote. The device packs a 3,000 mAh battery with fast charging mode.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge runs on Android Kitkat 4.4.2 with a layer of ToucWiz UI. It comes with private mode/ kids mode, Ultra Power Saving Mode features. It also comes with improved S Pen which is main USP of Galaxy Note series.

Samsung Galaxy Edge SM-N915 comes in Black and White color. Samsung Galaxy Note Edge will be priced in India at Rs. 64,900 ($1025), while its MRP will be Rs. 68,500 ($1088). Samsung will launch the device in January 2015. Exact release date for India is still unknown but it might be launched in first week of January.
Update: Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Note Edge in India for rs. 64,900. It will go on sale in India from January 2015.
