Chinese tech giant, Vivo, today at their launch event in Mumbai has launched their flagship phone, Vivo V5 in India. The Vivo V5 joins the elite list of selfie-centric smartphones such as the Oppo F1s and Gionee S9s.
Having said that, the smartphone is priced at Rs. 17,980 as well to compete with the rivals. The Vivo V5 is the industry’s first smartphone to feature a 20MP front-facing camera and the sensor used in this smartphone is the Sony IMX376 with f/2.0 aperture. Of course, there is a LED flash as well on the front. So, this is the best front-facing set up till date in any smartphone.
The Vivo V5 also has a 13MP sensor on the rear with PDAF and LED flash. However, the smartphone is slightly underpowered. There is a MediaTek MT6750 chipset with 4GB of RAM under-the-hood. The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch 720p display. The HD display is a bit of a disappointment, though.
