Xiaomi has launched its first tablet, Xiaomi Mi Pad, in India. The Mi tablet is launched in India for Rs. 12,999. It is the first device from the Chinese Manufacturer which will be sold without flash sale model.
Xiaomi will sell the Mi Pad in India from 24 March on Flipkart. There will be no need to pre-register to buy the device. Xiaomi MiPad was announced in May last year for $250. Xiaomi has launched the tablet almost after 10 Months in India.

Xiaomi MiPad 2 is already in the works and it might be announced soon. But Xiaomi choose to launch the year old tablet in India. It might be dumping the older units in India. Earlier also Xiaomi had launched the Mi4 in India after six months of its announcement.

Xiaomi MiPad sports a 7.9 inch QXGA (2048 x 1536 pixels) IPS Display with a pixel density of 326ppi. Its screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 64 bit 2.2 GHz quad core NVIDIA Tegra K1 Processor with 2 GB of RAM. For graphics it has a 192 core Kepler GPU.
The tablet comes with a 8 megapixel BSI Sensor rear camera with LED flash. It also has a 5 megapixel front camera. It comes with 16 GB in-built storage which can be expanded upto 128 GB using MicroSD card.
Its connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi Direct, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and Micro-USB. It packs a 67700 mAh Battery. It is a dual sim device with dual standby support. It runs on Android 4.4 optimized with MIUI 6.

Xiaomi Mi Pad price in India is Rs. 12,999. It comes in White, Dark Gray, Bright Yellow, Light Green and Pink colors. It will go on sale from 24 March without any registrations.
