Earlier this week Xiaomi launched its new phablet, Xiaomi Mi Max in China. The smartphone will be sold in the country via flash sale model. The first flash sale will take place in China on 17 May.

For the first flash sale of Xiaomi Mi Max, record number of people have registered. Around 8 Million people have registered for the first flash sale of Mi Max in China.

Xiaomi revealed the number of registered users in its official Weibo account. The company will sell mere 100,000 units of Mi Max China in first flash sale. Initially only 32GB ROM + 3GB RAM Snapdragon 650 will go on sale.

Xiaomi Mi MaxXiaomi Mi Max features a 6.44 inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS Display with a pixel density of 403ppi. It is powered by a 1.8GHz Hexa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Processor with 3GB RAM. Other variant is powered by a 1.8GHz Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor with 4GB RAM. For graphics, it comes with a Adreno 510 GPU.

Mi Max comes with a 16 Megapixel rear camera with Dual-tone LED flash and Phase Detection AutoFocus. For selfies, it comes with a 5 Megapixel front camera. It comes in 32GB/64GB/128GB inbuilt storage options, which can be expanded.

Xiaomi Mi Max runs on Android 6 Marshmallow with MIUI 8. It has hybrid slot which can act as dual sim slot or expandable slot.

Xiaomi Mi Max will go on sale in China from 17 May. There is no word about its global launch.
