Last Month, Xiaomi had discontinued Xiaomi Mi3 sale in India for entry-level Xiaomi RedMi 1S. Many people were not happy with this decision. Now there is some good news for Mi3 buyers.

During the Global Mobile Internet Conference (GMIC) in Bangalore, Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi India head said that Xiaomi Mi3 will go on sale in India again during Diwali.

Xiaomi Mi3 was launched back in July and in six flash sales company managed to sell around 95,000 units of Mi3 in India. In every flash sale, complete inventory of Mi3 went out of stock in less than 5 seconds. Now Xiaomi Mi3 will make a comeback during Diwali in India.

In another report from Reuters, Xiaomi’s VP Hugo Barra said Xiaomi is ramping up their production for upcoming festivals. He said, the company is now making provision to sell 100,000 phones a week in October, when India celebrates the festival of Diwali.

He further said, “For the Diwali month we’re chartering planes from Hong Kong to India to bring in Mi 3 and Redmi phones because it’s too much product“.

Currently company is selling Xiaomi RedMi 1S in India through Flipkart. Xiaomi is selling around 60,000 units of RedMi 1S per week. Each sale gets over in less than 5 seconds. Now, Xiaomi is planning to sell 1 lakh units per week. 100,000 combined units of Xiaomi Mi3 and RedMi 1S will be go on sale in October.
