Last Month Xiaomi launched Xiaomi Mi 4i in India. The smartphone was first announced in India and it was launched for Rs. 12,999. The smartphone comes with great hardware at this price.
Xiaomi Mi 4i also comes with a major issue due to which many users were not happy. The smartphone has over heating issues and the company has accepted that Mi 4i does have heating problems.
Xiaomi has now released a software update with version number v6.5.5.0. The update focuses on fixing heating issues on the Xiaomi Mi 4i. The Software update is released via OTA in batches.
Acknolodging the heating issue on Xiaomi Mi 4i, Hugo Barra said, ” We’ve heard from some Mi 4i users that their devices can get warm under more strenuous conditions such as complex 3D gaming for extended periods of time. To address these concerns, we’ve optimized our thermal control algorithms to better regulate the temperature. The new thermal controls adjust frequency, voltage and the number of cores in use depending on the chipset temperature.”
Xiaomi Mi 4i features a 5 inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS Display at 441ppi. It is powered by a second gen 64 bit 1.7 GHz Octa core (1.7 GHz Quad Core +1.1 GHz Quad Core) Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Processor with 2 GB of RAM. For graphics, it comes with a Adreno 405 GPU.
It comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. It also comes with a 5 megapixel front camera. It comes with 16 GB inbuilt storage, which cannot be expanded. It runs on Android 5 Lollipop optimized with MIUI version 6.
