As expected earlier, Xiaomi is not going to launch Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Prime in India, instead the company is planning to bring, Xiaomi RedMi Note 4G Prime, two year old smartphone with improved specs.
Xiaomi and Amazon has been teasing the device with #Primeiscoming on its social media channels. The company has teased several specs of the device and also confirms the launch date as 15 December. It will be priced at Rs. 9,999 and will be available on Amazon India.
Xiaomi RedMi Note 4G Prime features a 5.5 inch HD(1280 x 720 pixels) IPS Display at 267ppi. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Processor with 2GB of RAM. For graphics it has a Adreno 306 GPU.
RedMi Note 4G Prime comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. It also has a 5 Megapixel front camera. It comes with a 16 GB on board storage which can be further expanded upto 64GB using MicroSD card.
Its connectivity options include 4G, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi Direct, WLAN, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB. It packs a 3,100 mAh Battery. It supports FDD-LTE at 1800MHz, and TDD-LTE at 2300MHz.
Xiaomi RedMi Note 4G Prime runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with MIUI. It is a dual sim device with dual standby support, both sim cards supports LTE sim.
