Yu has finally launched its flagship smartphone, Yu Yutopia YU5050 in India. The smartphone with high-end specs is launched in India at Rs. 24,999 on Amazon. It is up for pre-order and it will go on sale from 26 December.
YU has also announced a new app called AroundYU. The new app is a mixture of several apps, it lets you find several things around you. It also comes with Fingerprint scanner on its back side.
Yu Yutopia YU5050 sports a 5.2 inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) OGS Display which is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by a 64 bit 2GHz Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Processor with 4GB of RAM. For graphics, it comes with a Adreno 430 GPU.
YUTOPIA comes with a 21 Megapixel Sony Exmor RS IMX230 rear camera with dual tone LED flash. For selfies, it comes with a 8 Megapixel front camera. It comes with 32GB in-built storage, which can be further expanded upto 200GB.
Its connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi Direct, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and Micro-USB. It packs a 3,000 mAh battery which comes with Quick Charge 2.0. There is a fingerprint sensor on its back side.
Yu Yutopia runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based on CyanogenMod 12. It will be upgraded Android 6.0 Marshmallow based on CM13 soon.
