Micromax’s subsidiary company YU Televentures, has been teasing its upcoming device, codenamed ‘Project Caesar’, since last Month. Now Yu has crowd-sourced its name and the name of the upcoming device will be Yu Yuphoria.
YU hosted a poll on its social media networks and asked its fans to suggest the name for its upcoming Project Caesar smartphone. Yu then selected five names from the list of suggested names.
The five shortlisted names were Yuphoria, Yunicorn, Yuknignt, Yunity and Youth. Yu then conducted a poll between these shortlisted names to select final name. The company revealed that they have received over 1 lakh votes.
Yu then finally selected ‘YUPHORIA’ as the name of its upcoming smartphone. Earlier the company has already teased the specifications of the device.
Yu Yuphoria will be powered by a 64 bit processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It will also come with 16 GB internal storage. It will run on latest Android 5.0 Lollipop with a layer of CyanogenMod 12 OS.
YU will launch the device in India soon. It will be priced below Rs. 8,000. Yuphoria is expected to be launched in India this month.
