YU Televentures has pushed an incremental software update for its latest flagship smartphone, Yu Yutopia. The company has announced that the update fixes several issues and improves security.
Yu Yutopia has received the security update via OTA. The update will be released in phases and will take time to reach all devices. It will be seeded to all devices in two weeks.
Yu Yutopia incremental software update comes with following changelog:
1. The fingerprint reader now allows for five attempts. Previous version only allowed for three.
2. When the user reaches five failed attempts the fingerprint reader will time out for 15 seconds. The user will feel multiple vibrations from the reader on the final failed attempt letting them know to unlock their device.
3. After 15 seconds the user can again attempt to unlock the device with the finger print sensor.
4. After 5 unsuccessful attempts user can unlock the device with Password/PIN.
The latest software is based on Android Lollipop 5.1.1, the software version is YOG4PAS5W0 and Cyanogen OS version is 12.1. Yu Yutopia is available in India on Amazon for Rs. 24,999.
