Samsung has sold around 100,000 units of Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge in South Korea. In span of two days the company has sold 1 lakh units in its home turf.
As per initial reports, Samsung Galaxy S7 seems to be more popular than the edged screen Galaxy S7 Edge. Around 60,000 units were sold on first day while on second day 40,000 units were sold.
Samsung Galaxy S7 accounts for 60% while the Edge accounts for 40% of total sale. Samsung has not officially revealed the number of units sold in South Korea. The flagship smartphone series was announced last month during MWC. It started going on sale in select countries starting last week. The 100,000 units are not huge but if we combine the data from all countries then it will be huge.
Samsung Galaxy S7 was announced in India last week and it will go on sale from 18th March in India. The smartphone is rolling out to several countries rapidly.
