After several reports of relaunching iPhone 4 in India, Apple has officially started selling it for ₹22,900($370). Earlier this week several reports claimed that apple will relaunch the iPhone 4 in India. And now company has launched it. While the price tag is not low as expected, more than Three year old device is launched with a hefty price tag of ₹22,900. Earlier before discontinuing it from India, it was priced for ₹26,900.
Additionally, the company is offering cash back offers on select credit cards holder. If you use EMI option and use Credit card then you are entitled for cashback. If you use Standard Charted Card then 10% cashback and if Citi Bank credit card is used then 5% addition cashback will be given.
Apple iPhone 4 which was originally announced in June 2010, boasts 3.5 inch screen. The device is powered by 1GHz A4 processor, it boasts 512 MB RAM. It features 5 megapixel camera with 720p recording. It has 1420 mAh battery. Its connectivity options include 2G, 3G , wifi and Bluetooth. It also comes with GPS. iPhone 4 comes with iOS 6 installed but The device is upgradable to Apple latest OS iOS 7.0.4. It comes in 8,16,32 GB models with no memory card slot.
Apple has relaunched it in India in order to sell the unsold devices. But what I think is why apple has relaunched the Three and a half year old device for ₹23K ($370). It is very costly comparing to its specs. Samsung’s newly launched Galaxy Grand 2 which is also priced at similar price is much better deal and also it has great specs compared to iPhone 4. Now its upto users if you want to buy or not.
