Earlier this month, Reliance Jio started employee referral program. With the help of Employee program, Reliance Jio sim cards are being distributed to customers having invite.
You need to request Reliance Jio employees for the Invite code and buy a LYF handset to get a Jio sim card. The company is giving three month of Unlimited DATA, Call and SMS to customers opting via Employee Referral program.
Now the company is planning to do away with the invite system itself. The company will give the Reliance Jio sim card and offers to all customers. But to get the Jio SIM, you need to buy a LYF handset.
Multiple sources familiar with the development has informed MakTechBlog, that the public sim card availability with LYF handset will commence from 30th May in India. Preparations for the roll-out are in full phase.
We have exclusively learnt that existing LYF customers will also be eligible to get hold of Reliance Jio SIM. Existing LYF Handset users will have to carry bill copy and address proof to the dealer to get the sim.
The company will give same Unlimited Preview offer to new customer for 3 months/90 days. New Reliance Jio customers will have to use the SIM into LYF handset during the offer period to get Unlimited 4G LTE DATA and calls.
With more people testing the network, We will come to know more about the probable LTE speed, once it is commercially available. With this type of offer, Reliance will end up selling more units of LYF handset in India and will try to get the major share in the smartphone market.
