Gionee has launched a new smartphone in its Slim series of smartphones dubbed as Gionee Elife S7. Gionee is moving away from the race of slimmest smartphone by launching the new smartphone with 5.5 mm thickness.
Gionee said that it doesn’t want to compromise the features for the slimmer design. Gionee has also changed the naming strategy of Slim series. Earlier Smartphone names indicated the device thickness. Gionee Elife S5.5 was 5.5 mm thick and Elife S5.1 was 5.1mm thick. But with Elife S7, thinks have changed.
Gionee Elife S7 sports a 5.2 inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) AMOLED Display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 64 bit 1.7 GHz Octa Core MediaTek MT6752 Processor with 2GB of RAM.
Elife S7 comes with a 13 Megapixel Sony IMX214 sensor rear camera with LED flash. For selfies, it comes with a 5 megapixel front camera. It comes with 16 GB in-built storage which cannot be expanded.
Its connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi Direct, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and Micro-USB. It packs a 2,700 mAh Battery. It is a dual sim device with dual standby support.
Gionee Elife S7 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with a layer of Amigo 3.0 UI. Its dimensions are 139.8×67.4×5.5mm.
