After listing the Elife S5.1 on its website, Gionee has launched its slimmest smartphone in India for Rs. 18,999. The device will go on sale from first week of December.
Gionee Elife S5.1 sports a full metal and glass body. It is a successor to Gionee Elife S5.5, but its specifications are inferior compared to Gionee Elife S5.5.
Gionee Elife S5.1 features a 4.8 inch HD (1280×720 pixels) Super AMOLED display at 306ppi which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 1.7 GHz TRU octa-core processor with 1 GB of RAM. For Graphics it has ARM Mali450-MP4 cloaked at 700MHz.
Gionee Elife S5.1 sports a 8 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 Megapixel front camera. Gionee Elife S5.1 has 16 GB on-board storage which cannot be expanded.
Gionee Elife S5.1 connectivity options include 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, WLAN, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Micro USB 2.0, and USB OTG. It packs a 2,050mAh battery which gives 10 hours of talktime and 4 days of standby time.
Gionee Elife S5.1 runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat with a layer Amigo 2.0 UI. Gionee Elife S5.1 dimensions are 139.8 x 67.5 x 5.15 mm and it weighs 97.55gm
