Jolla, which had earlier teased the launch of Sailfish smartphone has now started sending the media invites for the event on 23 September. Jolla will launch its sailfish smartphone in India. The device will be sold exclusively on Snapdeal.
The invite reads: Join the unlikely on 23 September 2014. Jolla will launch their Sailfish OS powered smartphone in India. Jolla is formed by group of Ex-Nokia executives who worked on MeeGo OS.
Jolla SailFish OS features a 4.5 inch qHD IPS Display with 960×540 pixel resolution. It runs on 1.4 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor with 1GB RAM. It has 16 GB internal memory which can be expanded upto 64GB using MicroSD Card.
Jolla SailFish OS with 8 megapixel rear camera with LED Flash. It also has 2 megapixel front camera.
Jolla SailFish OS has connectivity options like 4G, LTE, 3G, HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, Bluetooth and Micro-USB. It has 2,100 mAh battery which gives 10 hours of talktime.
Jolla smartphone runs on Sailfish OS.
