Lava, the Indian manufacturer has launched budget smartphone, Lava Iris X1 in India for Rs. 7,999. The phone runs on latest Android kitkat.
Earlier Micromax had launched Unite 2 and Motorola launched Moto E for Rs. 6,999. Both phones runs on Android Kitkat. Now, lava has jumped into the Android Kitkat budget smartphone category.
Lava Iris X1 features a 4.5 inch FWVGA IPS Display with 854×480 pixel resolution. It runs on 1.2 GHz Quad core Broadcom BCM23550 Processor with 1 GB RAM. For graphics it has Videocore IV GPU.
It has 4 GB internal memory which can be expanded upto 32GB using MicroSD Card.
Lava Iris X1 comes with 8 megapixel BSI+Sensor rear camera with Dual LED Flash. It also has 2 megapixel front camera. It is a dual sim (GSM+GSM) device with dual standby support.
Lava Iris X1 has connectivity options like 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and Micro-USB. It has 1,800 mAh battery.
Lava Iris X1 runs on latest Android 4.4 Kitkat out of the box.

Lava iris X1 comes in black and white color. It is priced at Rs. 7,999 and will be available from 27 May on Amazon.in. It will come with free intelligent flip cover which puts phone to sleep mode when not in use. If you preorder the phone on 27 May then you will also get free 16 Ultra MicroSD card.
