LG G3 Android LollipopLG has announced that they will be rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for flagship LG G3 from this week. LG G3 will be first LG device to get Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

Android 5.0 Lollipop update for LG G3 will be rolled out to users in Poland starting this week. LG will also roll out Android Lollipop update for LG G3 in other key markets in coming months.

LG also claims that it is first global smartphone manufacturer to offer Android Lollipop update in 2014. Earlier Motorola too released Android 5.0 Lollipop Release Notes for Moto X and Moto G.

LG G3 Android 5.0 Lollipop comes with following new features:

This latest Android OS delivers a host of improvements including a new design language with added depth, shadows and animations. Notifications are improved with a new layout and color scheme and will be available on the new lock screen. A new security feature to strengthen the connectivity between devices will include enabling users to unlock their smartphone when it is physically near a pre-registered Bluetooth device such as the LG G Watch or G Watch R. Lollipop also introduces Android Runtime (ART) software to improve performance.

LG G3 users in Poland will get Android 5.0 Lollipop update notifications starting this week. LG didn’t revealed Android Lollipop update roll out plans for other countries.

LG has also assured that other LG devices will also get Android 5.0 Lollipop but didn’t reveals Android 5 Lollipop upgrade roadmap for other devices.

This week will be interesting as Google is also said to be delivering Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Nexus devices, Motorola is also preparing to release Android Lollipop update and now LG has jumped up in the Lollipop update race.

It will be interesting to see which will be first device to get Android 5.0 Lollipop update.
