Microsoft launched the Lumia 640 in India earlier month for Rs. 11,999. It was exclusively launched on Flipkart, now the online retailer is offering a discount of Rs. 2,000 which bring the price of Lumia 640 to Rs. 9,999,
The price drop is not permanent but it is a special discount from Flipkart for couple of days. But still giving a discount of 16% within 20 days of launch shows that the initial pricing of the device was wrong. Microsoft might reduce the price of the Lumia 640 Dual permanently in coming weeks.
Microsoft Lumia 640 sports a 5 inch HD(1280×720 pixels) IPS LCD Display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Processor with 1 GB of RAM.
It comes with a 8.7 megapixel rear camera without flash. It also comes with a 0.9 Megapixel front camera. It comes with 8 GB on-board storage which can be further expanded upto 128 GB using MicroSD Card. Microsoft is also giving free OneDrive storage upto 30 GB.
Its connectivity options include LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB. It packs a 2,500 mAh battery which provides 12 hours of talktime. It is a dual sim device with dual standby support.
Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual runs on Windows Phone 8.1. It will be upgraded to Windows 10 for mobiles.
