OnePlus has announced that there is no need to have an Invite to buy a OnePlus One. The invite-less OnePlus can be purchased from company website and from Amazon in India.
OnePlus One was announced a year ago with a Invite based system. Later in December, it was launched in India with Indian Specific Invites for Rs. 21,999. But now OnePlus has removed the pesky invite system.
The device is already a year old and company is working on its successor. OnePlus Two is expected to be launched in Q3 2015. The successor will be again sold via invite based system.
OnePlus One features a 5.5 inch Full HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS LCD Display at 401 ppi. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Processor with 3GB of RAM. For graphics it has Adreno 330 GPU.
It comes with a 13 megapixel Sony IMX214 sensor and f/2.0 aperture rear camera with LED flash. It also comes with a 5 Megapixel front camera. It comes in 16 GB and 64GB on-board storage options, it doesn’t have an option expand internal storage.
Its has connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac , GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and Micro-USB. It packs a 3,000 mAh battery.
OnePlus One runs on CM12s based on Android Lollipop. Company has also released its own custom ROM called OxygenOS. The Invite free OnePlus One price in India is Rs. 21,998 for 64GB, while 16GB OPO is available for Rs. 18,998. It is exclusively available on Amazon.in in India.
