OnePlus has announced that the 16GB variant of OnePlus One will be launched in India soon. OnePlus One 16 GB Silk White might go on sale in India next week. It will be priced in India around Rs. 18,999.
OnePlus One 16 GB in Silk White color is already listed on Amazon.in as coming soon. However the price and launch date of the device is still unknown. OnePlus 64 GB Sandstone Black was launched in India in December for Rs. 21,999 and now company is bringing the 16 GB variant to India.
OnePlus One 16GB will compete with the Xiaomi Mi4 16GB which was launched in India last month for Rs. 19,999. Xiaomi is also selling the 64 GB variant of Mi4 in India for Rs. 23,999. Both the smartphones carries the same set of specifications and are direct competitor. It will be interesting to see which smartphone becomes more popular.
OnePlus One features a 5.5 inch Full HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS LCD Display at 401 ppi. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Processor with 3GB of RAM. For graphics it has Adreno 330 GPU.
It comes with a 13 megapixel Sony IMX214 sensor and f/2.0 aperture rear camera with LED flash. It also comes with a 5 Megapixel front camera. It comes in 16 GB and 64GB on-board storage options, it doesn’t have an option expand internal storage.
OnePlus One has connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac , GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and Micro-USB. It packs a 3,000 mAh battery.
It runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat , it will be updated to Oxygen OS based on Android 5.0 Lollipop soon.
The 16 GB variant will be exclusive to Amazon and will be sold via India Specific Invite only.
