Samsung has announced first Tizen powered Smartphone, Samsung Z. The phone runs on South Korean Company’s own in house operating system, Tizen. The Tizen powered smartphone was in the pipeline from long time but finally its been launched officially. Earlier samsung has also used Tizen in its gear range of smartwatches.
Samsung Z has heart rate monitor, finger print sensor similar to company latest flagship Galaxy S5. Samsung Z has squared off edges with lines. Its design is pretty different from Galaxy series of smartphones. It has faux leather back finish.
Samsung Z features a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED Display with 1280×720 pixel resolution. It runs on 2.3 Ghz quad core Processor with 2 GB RAM. It has 16GB internal memory which can be expanded upto 64 GB using MicroSD Card.
Samsung Z comes with 8 megapixel Autofocus rear camera with LED Flash. It also has 2.1 megapixel front camera.
Samsung Z has connectivity options like 4G, LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX codec, NFC and Micro-USB. It has 2,600 mAh battery with ultra power Saving mode.
Samsung Z runs on Tizen 2.2.1 OS out of the box. It comes with many Samsung apps like S Health 3.0 pre installed.

Samsung Z comes in black and Gold color options. It will go on sale from Q3 starting from Russia. It will be rolled in other countries after that. Samsung will showcase the device this week in US. It will be also launched in India, but its pricing and availability details are unknown.
