Samsung has slashed the prices of its Metal clad Galaxy A series of smartphones in India. Samsung Galaxy A5 price has been reduced to Rs. 22,900. It was launched in India in January for Rs. 25,500.
Along with Galaxy A5, Galaxy A3 SM-A300 has also received a price cut. But it is not a major price cut, its price has been reduced by only Rs. 200. Galaxy A3 is now available on Samsung eStore for Rs. 20,300.
Samsung Galaxy A5 price has been been reduced by Rs. 2,600. The price has been slashed by over 10% within three months after its launch in India. The device is now available for Rs. 22,900 on official Samsung eStore.
Samsung Galaxy A5 SM-A500 features a 5 inch HD ( 720×1280 pixels) Super AMOLED Display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad core Snapdragon 410 Processor with 2 GB RAM. It comes with 16 GB on-board storage which can be further expanded up to 64 GB using MicroSD Card.
The metal clad smartphone comes with a 13 megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED Flash. For selfies, it comes with a 5 megapixel front camera.
Its connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/AGPS, NFC, GLONASS, Bluetooth and Micro-USB. It packs a 2,300 mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy A5 runs on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. It is just 6.7mm thick. It comes with features like Ultra-Power Saving Mode, Private Mode.
