Samsung is holding the Unpacked event on 24 Feb in Barcelona. We all know that Samsung Galaxy S5 will be unveiled in this event. Earlier there were many rumors that Samsung will also launch second iteration of Galaxy Gear Smart-Watch. But none of these reports gave concrete evidence about Galaxy Gear 2. But now serial leakster @evleaks has tweeted the photos of upcoming Galaxy Gear. Samsung originally launched Galaxy Gear last year during Galaxy Note 3 launch event. Galaxy Gear didn’t did well as expected so Samsung is planning to launch second Galaxy Gear earlier than expected.

Until now we only know that Galaxy Gear 2 will be launched, but the new leak suggest that samsung will indeed launch two variants of Galaxy Gear. The Smart-watches will be named as “Samsung Galaxy Gear 2” and “Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 Neo”. As you can see in the image above that two SmartWatches are leaked by Evleaks. Both the device carries the same UI as current Gear. The new smart-watches are more slimmer and didn’t carry bulky camera. Both the smartwatch have dedicated home button which is usually found in all Samsung Smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 is expected to be premium model and Galaxy Gear 2 Neo is expected to be cheaper model. Apart from blurry image nothing else is leaked. Samsung is expected to launch both the smartwatch along with Galaxy S5 during Unpacked Event. It’s only 50 hours left for the much awaited launch. Samsung will telecast the whole event live on its youtube channel.

Update: Evleaks has posted much clearer photo of watches. We have attached the new image on top. Evleaks is also saying that he misspoke, these are not galaxy branded watches.


We will if we came to know anything new, as of now there is no confirmation that these watches are Galaxy Branded and will be named as stated.
