Samsung has announced that it will be unveiling its latest flagship device, Samsung Galaxy S6 on 1st March. Samsung has started sending out the press invites for an Unpacked Event on March 1 to be held in Barcelona. Samsung will launch its flagship device a day before MWC 2015 kicks off.
As you can see in the image above, there is a curved line on the invite. The curved line might indicate that the next flagship will come with a curved design, similar to Galaxy Note Edge. There are rumors that there will an Edge version for Galaxy S series too, dubbed as Galaxy S Edge. However, there is no concrete evidence which confirms that there will be a curved screen Galaxy S smartphone.
To me, the curved line on the invite look like rotated ‘S ‘. The invite also has a tagline which reads ‘What’s Next ‘. Samsung always unveils its major products at Unpacked events, last year, Galaxy S5 was also unveiled at an unpacked event. All these confirms that the Galaxy S6 smartphone will be launched at this event.
Earlier rumors and the invite suggests that the Galaxy S6 will have a slimmer design. The fingerprint sensor on Galaxy S6 will be relocated. It will feature full metal body similar to Galaxy A series.
Yesterday, we have reported that the Samsung Galaxy S6 will sport a 5.0 inch Quad HD screen. It will be powered by a Octa Core Exynos chipset coupled with 3 GB of RAM. It will have a 20 MP rear camera. Galaxy S6 will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
Samsung will launch the Galaxy S6 on 1st March 2015 at an Unpacked event in Barcelona. Samsung will also live stream the event. Samsung Galaxy S6 will not go on sale immediately, it might go on sale by the end of March.
