Samsung has launched a new tablet in India called Samsung Galaxy Tab Iris. It is launched in India for Rs. 13,499. As the name suggests, it comes with iris scanner.
The Galaxy Tab Iris is launched under ‘Make in India’ initiative. The tab is compliant with Aadhar and is also STQC certified. The tab can be used by Government agencies, Banks etc for identification.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Iris features a 7 inch WSVGA( 1024 x 600 pixels) IPS Display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad core Processor with 1.5GB RAM. For graphics, it comes with a Mali GPU.
Galaxy Tab Iris smartphone comes with a 5 Megapixel Autofocus rear camera. The back panel comes with Iris Scanner system. It comes with 8GB on-board storage which can be further expanded up to 200GB using MicroSD Card.
Its connectivity options include 3G, HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/AGPS, NFC, GLONASS, Bluetooth and Micro-USB. It packs a 3,600 mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Iris runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
