Today at a galaxy grand 2 event, samsung also launched Samsung Gamepad in India, for ₹4,999. It will be available from end of next month. It was announced few days back, and is available in some European countries. Gamepad will give smartphone/ tablet gamers a choice to use a controller to play Android games rather than using the on-screen controls.
Samsung GamePad dimension is 137.78×86.47×31.80mm and comes with a D-Pad, two analog sticks, four action buttons, two trigger buttons and select, and start and PLAY buttons. It works with All android phones running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and above. But gives best performance when used with samsung devices running Android 4.3 & above. It can be connected to devices via Bluetooth 3.0 or NFC connectivity options.
The console will work with Samsung’s Mobile Console app, which will be downloaded from Samsung’s App Store. It will come with around 35 games for buying across various genres including Need for Speed Most Wanted, Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour, Virtua Tennis Challenge and Prince of Persia.
