Screen is one of the most important aspect of any smartphone because whatever we do on a smartphone is viewed on the phone’s screen. Earlier flagship devices used to come with Full HD screens but this year has changed the tradition. Now-a-days if you are launching a flagship smartphone then it must sport a Quad HD screen.
Quad HD screens are not new, the first smartphone with QHD screen was launched last year. But it came into trend from this year only. It comes with a resolution on 2560 x 1440 pixels. Every major manufacturer has launched their phones with 2K screen.
In this month itself, three new smartphones with Quad HD screen will be launched in India. The first is Gionee Elife E8, it will be launched on 8th October, the second one is Motorola Moto X Style which will be also launched on 8th October. The third one is Google Nexus 6p, which is expected to be launched next week.
Smartphones with Quad HD screen don’t come cheap so don’t expect them to be priced below Rs. 25,000. Out of the three, Moto X Style will be cheapest then Gionee Elife E8 and the costliest one will be Google Nexus 6P.
Gionee Elife E8:
Gionee Elife E8 sports a 6 inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) AMOLED Display which is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 64 bit 2.0 GHz Octa Core MediaTek Helio X10 MT6795 Processor with 3GB of RAM. For graphics, it comes with a PowerVR G6200 GPU.
It comes with a 23.7 Megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flash. For selfies, it comes with a 8 Megapixel front camera. It comes with 64 GB in-built storage which can be expanded upto 128GB. It comes with a Fingerprint scanner on its back panel.
Gionee Elife E8 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, there is no word about Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. Its price in India will be around Rs. 33,000. It will be launched in India on 8th October. It will online only smartphone and will be available with major online retailer.
Motorola Moto X Style:
Motorola Moto X Style sports a 5.7 inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) TFT Display which is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 64 bit 1.8 GHz Hexa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 Processor with 3GB of RAM. For graphics, it comes with a Adreno 418 GPU.
It comes with a 21 Megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flash. For selfies, it comes with a 5 Megapixel front camera. It comes in 16/32/64 GB in-built storage options, which can be further expanded upto 128GB.
Motorola Moto X Style runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop but it will get latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update soon. Its price in India will be around Rs. 27,999. It will be launched in India on 8th October and will be available via Flipkart.
Google Nexus 6P:
Huawei Nexus 6P flaunts a 5.7 inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) AMOLED display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by a 64 bit 2.0 GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 3 GB of LPDDR4 RAM. For Graphics, it comes with a Adreno 430 GPU.
It comes with a 12.3 Megapixel Laser Autofocus rear camera with and Dual LED flash. For selfies, it comes with a 8 Megapixel front camera. It comes in 32 GB, 64GB and 128GB inbuilt storage options, which cannot be expanded.
Google Nexus 6P runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Its price in India starts at Rs. 39,999. It will be launched in India next week.
