Qualcomm has a been through a rough patch in recent times with their flagship chipset- Snapdragon 810 disappointed many with its overheating issues. The flagship chip was used in the Sony Xperia Z3+ and we all know about the rest on how the smartphone got criticised by all the users.
Qualcomm, this year, at the MWC 2016 announced the flagship chip for this year- the Snapdragon 820 with many improvements and battery efficiency techniques. The chipmaker did not make the mistake again and this year’s chip was a huge success and till date has been used on many smartphones.
Hereby, we list some of the smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 available to purchase this Diwali in India.
1) OnePlus 3
After a disappointing year with the OnePlus 2 and mid-range OnePlus X, the Chinese firm, this year came out with a true flagship killer- the OnePlus 3. The smartphone was launched in June and received much praise from all over the world. Altogether, the smartphone is priced at Rs. 27,999, which is an insane price and it comes with whopping 6GB of RAM.
2) Lenovo Z2 Plus
The recently launched Lenovo Z2 Plus is the cheapest smartphone in India to pack the Snapdragon 820. The smartphone packs a 5-inch display and comes in two RAM variants- 3GB/4GB. The device is priced at Rs. 19,999 for the 4GB RAM variant and Rs. 17,999 for the 3GB RAM variant.
3) Xioami Mi 5
The first smartphone in India to launch with Snapdragon 820 SoC. Xiaomi has been enjoying a great year with the Redmi Note 3, however, the Mi 5 also has been quite successful for the company. It features a beautiful design and comes with just 3GB of RAM. At the time of launch, the smartphone was priced at Rs. 24,999, but now available for Rs. 22,999.
4) LeEco Le Max 2
Chinese vendors are currently ruling the Indian smartphone market. LeEco (formerly known as LeTv) forayed into Indian market at the start of this year and till now, the brand has already launched a good number of smartphones. The Le Max 2 is priced at Rs. 22,999 for the 4GB RAM variant, however, the company is now selling the smartphone for just Rs. 17,999 this Diwali.
5) Samsung Galaxy S7/ S7 Edge
The first quarter has been a great year for Samsung as the Galaxy S7 Edge sales topped the market. But the huge blow for the company was the recall of Galaxy Note 7 which cost them a total of $17 billion. Both the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge comes with Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB of RAM and their performance is top-notch.
6) Google Pixel/ Pixel XL
The ‘Made by Google’ phones went on to sale in India a couple of days ago. They have priced aggressively, but there are some highlights for the smartphones such as their camera is the highest rated camera by DxOMark. And they run Android 7.1 out-of-the-box with built-in Google Assistant. Both the smartphones are available to purchase from Flipkart.
7) Lenovo Moto Z
Under the leadership of Lenovo, Motorola has been doing a great job. The company launched their first ever modular phone- the Moto Z and it is also one of the slimmest smartphones to purchase right now. It comes with Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 39,999.
