Vivo, the Chinese smartphone vendor is all set to launch the successors to their much popular Vivo V3 and V3 Max in India on November 15. Dubbed as the Vivo V5 and V5 Plus, both the smartphones are expected to come with 20MP Moonlight front-facing camera, according to a new source.
Earlier today, PhoneRadar leaked two new images of the retail boxes of the Vivo V5 and V5 Max. Unfortunately, there are no leaks regarding the Vivo V5 Plus specifications, but the leak revealed the complete specifications of the Vivo V5.
The official retail box confirms that both Vivo V5 and V5 Plus will come with a 20MP Moonlight front-facing camera. Diving into the leaked specifications of the Vivo V5, it will feature a 5.5-inch 720p screen. The V5 will be powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset with all the cores clocked at 1.8GHz. There will be 4GB of RAM along with the chipset to manage the system operations. Storage on this device will be of 32GB, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card slot.
As said earlier, the phone comes with a 20MP front-facing snapper and there will be a 13MP rear camera along with a LED flash. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro-USB and USB OTG. Also, the smartphone will feature basic sensors such as the accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
The Vivo V5 will be backed by a 3000mAh battery and boots Android 6.0.1 based Funtouch OS 2.6 out-of-the-box. The Vivo V5 Plus won’t be much different from the Vivo V5, however, it might get some internal upgrades.
Pricing is the major issue with the Vivo’s smartphones. The Vivo V3 and V3 Max were great smartphones, however, marred with aggressive pricing. So, this time around, Vivo should carefully price both the phones. We are expecting to be priced at below Rs. 15,000 for better sales.
