Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi RedMi 2 in India for Rs. 6,999. Xiaomi has been teasing the Xiaomi RedMi 2 Dual Sim launch since last week. The device will go on sale from 24 March.
Xiaomi RedMi 2 will be sold via flash sale model. The first sale will take place on 24 March. Pre-registrations for the first sale has been started on Flipkart.
The device comes with 4G LTE support, it supports both Indian LTE bands on both sim card slots. It also Quick Charge, through which it can will be charged quickly.
Xiaomi RedMi 2 sports a 4.7 inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS Display at 312ppi. It is powered by a 64 bit 1.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Processor with 1GB of RAM. For graphics it has a Adreno 306 GPU.
The Second Gen RedMi comes with a 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. It also has a 2 megapixel front camera. It comes with 8 GB in-built storage which can be expanded upto 32GB using MicroSD card.
Its connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi Direct, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and Micro-USB. It packs a 2,200 mAh Battery. It is a dual sim device with dual standby support.
The smartphone runs on Android 4.4 optimized with MIUI 6. It comes in White, Dark gray, Bright Yellow, Light Green and Pink colors.
Xiaomi RedMi 2 Dual Sim price in India is Rs. 6,999 and will go on sale in India from 24 March.
