As soon as Reliance Jio started its commercial operations in India, tariff war among telecom operator began to fire. Similar to Reliance Jio Unlimited offerings, all telecom operators started offering similar tariff plans to keep the customers on their own network. Airtel, Idea Cellular, Vodafone, BSNL and other joined the bandwagon and started offering unlimited plans.

Idea no unlimited dataReliance Jio has now slowly started increasing its tariff plans for its Unlimited and normal packs. Other telecom operator had started increasing price months ago. Now telecom operator have started removing Unlimited data from unlimited packs.

Idea Cellular is first telecom operator in India which has stopped offering the Unlimited data on its unlimited packs. Now on these packs, you get only unlimited calling that too is restricted to 300mins per day. So basically there is noting unlimited in unlimited packs from Idea.

The telecom operator now offers limited 1GB 4G/3G data per day as per plan offers. These plans prices also keeps on changing daily and may vary person to person. In some plans, Idea offers 70 days validity with 70GB data.

If you are an Idea Cellular customer and has recently recharged with Unlimited pack then make sure to read the complete offer properly. The company has removed the word unlimited from data and kept it for Local and STD calls (in some cases Roaming also) only.

To check whether you have Unlimited data with your plan or not, you need to downloaded the My Idea app and check the details of your plan. As you can see in the image above, Idea cellular now offers 1GB data per day only. It show unlimited for calling only.
