The Apple iPhone 6, which was released way back in 2014 was one of the major overhauled iPhone ever. At that point of time, Apple released the iPhone 6 in three storage configurations- 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB. Also, at the launch of Apple iPhone 7 launch in September 2016, Apple claimed that they would be stopping the production of iPhone 6. And now, the company has officially launched a new 32GB variant of the iPhone 6, which will be exclusive to Asian markets, cites a report.
The offer seems to be a genuine one as India’s leading e-commerce site; Amazon India has listed the product for Rs. 28,999 with a discount of Rs. 1700, which means that the phone is officially priced at Rs. 30,700.
The funny part here is: Amazon India is selling the same Apple iPhone 6 with 16GB storage for around Rs. 30,500, which is raising several eyebrows of users where to buy or not buy the phone. At the same time, some users who purchased the device officially from Amazon is claiming that the offer is a genuine one and the seller is also offering official Apple India Warranty.
With that said, there’s no official word from Apple, though. Looking at the past, we can say that Apple has never done something like this. If the company discontinues a product, they won’t even provide the support for that phone. But, for the first time, we are seeing something different from the company.
What might be the reason behind launching a two-year-old phone with just storage bump? Only Apple can answer this question. To recall, the Apple iPhone 6 was the company’s first phone to feature a bigger display with a 4.7-inch panel. Also, the phone has an 8MP rear camera along with a 1.2MP camera on the front.
The phone is powered by the company’s Apple A8 chip and has 1GB of RAM. That said, Apple will start shipping the phone from March 10 in the Asian countries, but Amazon India already started delivering the product in India.
