Apple has released a new beta update for its mobile operating system, iOS. The US based company has released iOS 10.2 beta 6 to registered developers and public beta testers.

Apple iOS 10

The software update is released for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. Apple is testing the iOS 10.2 since last month and now the company has seeded sixth beta to testers.

The sixth beta comes days after fifth beta was seeded. It is expected that iOS 10.2 will be released to general public via Over The Air update this month. Last iOS 10.2 beta was expected to be last one as fifth beta was a big update.

While the latest iOS 10.2 beta 6 is a small patch update. Apple might have fixed some issue before making the software version out of beta. We expect this update to be last beta update for iOS 10.2.

In the ongoing iOS 10.2, Apple has added many new features. These are some of the new features in 10.2:

  • New set of emojis
  • Three new wallpapers for iPhone 7 and 7 Plus
  • Widget for Videos app
  • SOS feature for Indian users

Apple will release the iOS 10.2 to all users in coming weeks. It will be released for compatible iPhone, iPad and iPad Touch devices. Currently all public beta testers and developers can update to iOS 10.2 beta 6 via Over-The-Air(OTA) update.
