Motorola has reduced the price of its budget smartphone, Moto E, by Rs. 1,000. It was launched last year for Rs. 6,999 and now Motorola has slashed its price to Rs. 5,999.
Facing the heat from several other budget smartphones like Xiaomi RedMi 1S, Yu Yureka and Lenovo A6000 LTE, Motorola has decided to reduce the Moto E price in India.
Earlier Motorola has started the soak test for Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Moto E in India. Motorola will soon release the Lollipop update for Moto E.
As far as specifications are concerned, Moto E features a 4.3-inch qHD ( 960×540 pixels) display which has pixel density of 256ppi. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
It comes with a 5 Megapixel rear camera. It comes with 4 GB on-board storage which can be further expanded via MicrosSD card. It packs a 1,980mAh battery.
Its connectivity options includes 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Micro USB. It is a dual sim(GSM+GSM) device with dual standby support.
Moto E runs on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat, It will be upgraded to Android 5 Lollipop soon.
