Last month Yu Televentures launched the Yu Yutopia in India for Rs. 24,999. Soon after that it was up for pre-orders and it was scheduled to go on sale via Amazon from 26 December 2015.
Later its availability date slipped to 30 December but on that also Yu Yutopia didn’t went on sale on Amazon. After that the listing of the device on the eCommerce website was showing ‘Currently unavailable’.
Now Micromax owned company has finally started selling Yu Yutopia in India on Amazon. The smartphone can now be purchased via online retailer. It is unclear how many units are made available.
Yu Yutopia YU5050 sports a 5.2 inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) OGS Display which is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by a 64 bit 2GHz Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Processor with 4GB of RAM. For graphics, it comes with a Adreno 430 GPU.
YUTOPIA comes with a 21 Megapixel Sony Exmor RS IMX230 rear camera with dual tone LED flash. For selfies, it comes with a 8 Megapixel front camera. It comes with 32GB in-built storage, which can be further expanded upto 200GB. It packs a 3,000 mAh battery which comes with Quick Charge 2.0. There is a fingerprint sensor on its back side.
Yu Yutopia runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based on CyanogenMod 12. It will be upgraded Android 6.0 Marshmallow based on CM13 soon. Yu Yutopia price in India is Rs. 24,999. It comes in Grey color.
