According to rumors, Samsung is already planning to launch new variants like Galaxy S5 mini, Galaxy S5 zoom, Galaxy S5 Active and several others.
According to serial leakster Evleaks, Samsung is planing to come up with another variants of Galaxy S5. According to leaks, Samsung is planning to launch Galaxy S5 Active model number SM-G870x variant on various carriers like AT&T, Sprint and others.
Samsung SM-G870x is the Galaxy S5 Active. Coming to AT&T and Sprint, among other carriers.

Last year Samsung had also launched Active variant for Galaxy S4. Samsung Galaxy S4 Active was dust and water resistant device. Galaxy S4 Active features lower resolution screen and lower specification. Galaxy S4 Active was priced lower than Galaxy S4.
The question here is that now Samsung Galaxy S5 itself is Dust and waterproof so S5 Active was not expected. It is unknown that why Samsung is launching S5 Active.
Few days back, Samsung Galaxy S5 mini with high end specifications was also spotted on Samsung website. Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini was spotted having 720p display and other high specifications.
