Nokia’s First Android Phone Nokia X which was launched last month during MWC is all set to be launched in India. Last week we exclusively reported that Nokia X will be priced at Rs. 8,500 in India. It was covered by several media houses. The device was first listed on TheMobileStore and was first covered by us. Nokia has launched it officially for Rs. 8,599 and it will be available from today. The leaked price was Rs 8,500 but it is launched at Rs. 8,599.

Nokia at a Event in Delhi has launched the device. Though we were not present at the event but we are bringing sneak peek of the event. Nokia India Managing Director P Balaji and Sari Harju unveiled the device in India. Balaji says that India is among top three markets for Lumia. He says Nokia X will be available from today and Nokia X+ and Nokia XL will be launched in 60 days.
Nokia X users will get 7 GB OneDrive storage and another 3GB if camera auto upload feature is enabled. Users can download apps from Nokia Store or other Third Party apps like Amazon store, Yandex and others. But Users cannot download apps from Google play store. Users can search for all apps in Nokia Store and if that app is not available in Nokia Store then it will be redirected to third party app store.

Nokia store will support Operator billing, Try and buy features. Apps will also have in-app payment options. According to Balaji 70% of Indians will have access to operator billing.

Nokia X features 4-inch wVGA, it runs on 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor with 512MB RAM and Nokia X also has 3 MP rear camera. It also has MicroSD card slot by which memory can be increased upto 32GB. It is available in green, black, white, yellow, cyan and red.

Nokia will launch a dual-sim version of Nokia X. It will run on AOSP(Android Open Source Project) version of Android. It will not have Google Play Store installed instead it will have Nokia Android Store. All the default Google Mobile services will be missing from these devices and Microsoft services will replace these Google services. It will have outlook, Nokia Here maps, OneDrive, Internet Explorer instead Gmail, Google Maps, Google Drive and Chrome respectively.
