Along with Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Samsung has also launched its Samsung Gear S smartwatch. Gear S is launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 28,900. Samsung Gear S runs on company’s own Tizen OS. The watch was announced back in August.
Back in May, we have reported that Samsung is working on Standalone smartwatch which can make calls. It was earlier reported that Gear S would come with same 1.63 inch screen found in Gear 2, but Samsung has launched it with 2 inch screen.
Samsung Gear S is a standalone smartwatch which can make and receive calls without the need of smartphone. It comes with 3G supported nano sim card slot.

Samsung Gear S comes with 2 inch AMOLED screen with 360×480 pixel resolution. Gear S is powered by 1 GHz dual core processor with 512 MB RAM.
Samsung Gear S has 4 GB of internal storage. It’s connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 and 9 axis sensor. It has 300mAh battery which gives two days of usage after complete charge.
Samsung Gear S comes with IP67 protection which keeps the device safe from dust and water. Gear S also comes with heart rate sensor on its back.
Samsung Gear S comes in black and white color. Samsung Gear S MRP in India is Rs. 29,500, it will be sold in at MOP Rs. 28,900.
