Samsung Galaxy S5 which was launched earlier this month during MWC is all set to debut in Indian markets on 27 March. Samsung has started sending out invites for Galaxy S5 launch event on 27 March.
According to reports Samsung will launch the device on 27 March and will start taking pre-orders. Actual shipment of device will take place from 11 April. Earlier during MWC launch event Samsung has said Galaxy S5 will be available from 11 April globally.
Samsung will reveal the pricing of Galaxy S5 on launch date. Though it is unclear that which Quad core or Octa core model will be launched, But It is expected that Samsung could launch Exynos Octa core version for Asian market.
Samsung could also announce Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear fit wearable devices in India.

Samsung Galaxy S5 is Dust proof and waterproof with IP67 Certification. It can be placed in 1 meter water for 30 Minutes. It is also coupled with heartrate monitor and Fingerprint sensor.

Specification wise it features 5.1 FullHD 1080p display, Galaxy S5 runs on 2.5 GHz quad core processor with 2GB RAM. It features 16 Megapixel camera with Super Auto Focus, HDR and 4K video capabilities. The device is equipped with Advanced LTE and Wi-fi MIMO (802.11ac), USB 3.0. It comes in two memory options 16GB and 32GB, there is MicroSD slot by which memory can be increased to 64 GB.
The device packs 2,800 mAH battery which is capable of 290 hours of standby time. Samsung has added ultra power saving mode which boosts the battery and gives more usage time. Samsung Galaxy S5 runs on Android Kitkat 4.4.2.
If earlier reports are true then Samsung will keep the price of Galaxy S5 lower than Galaxy S4. But for Indian markets it could be above Rs. 42,000(launch price of Galaxy S4) because in one year Rupee vs Dollar difference is increased so import price will be higher. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 45,000-48,000.
